About MCS:

Marion Center Speedway Since 1966

The 2017 Race Season will mark the 51st Anniversary of

Marion Center Speedway. The 1/4 mile oval dirt track is

located on the top of a hill, just off PA Route 119, 3 miles north

of Marion Center PA. MCS has been owned and operated by the

Potts family since it was built in the fall of 1965 by David and

Marybelle Potts, with the first races in 1966. The core of the

on-going operation today is still run by their two daughters

(June and Janet) and son-in-law Rich Leydic. Friends, neighbors

and even former race car drivers make up the rest of the staff

that keeps the facility family oriented.

The Marion Center Speedway operates on a schedule of racing

Saturday night from late April through early September, with

rain outs rescheduled when possible.  The first scheduled event

at MCS for the 2017 race season is "Test & Tune Open

Practice Day" Saturday, April 22nd starting at 10:00 am to

3:00 pm.  Also, on April 22nd a Truck Pull is scheduled starting

a 5:00 pm.  The following Saturday, April 29th being the

official Race Season Opening Night for the 2017 race season.

The gates and concession stands open an hour and a half before

the racing begins at 7:30pm.  One night's program consists of

racing 6 divisions (Super Late Models, Limited Late Models,

Emods, Pro-Stocks, Strictly Stocks, & Micro Sprints).  One

night a month, the intermission is devoted to Little Racers,

when kids bring their bicycles and helmets down onto the race

track to compete against others in their age group.  Also, some

special events are in the works.

In addition to the Bike Races for the kids, a MCS Official Kid's

Club has been started in 2012. Kids can join the club and can

participate in additional activities and drawing for prizes or

special activities, like being able to meet their favorite driver,

or awarding the checkered flag to feature winner on the track,

just for Kid's Club members. Coloring contests, and special

autograph nights, and Kid's Club Party are some of the

activities that the Kid's Club members can participate in. For
